When several things start going wrong at the same time, it is human to look for an explanation. Some people then end up wondering: « Has someone done something to me? »
For more than 10 years, I have been seeing people who come to me with this kind of question.
Some talk directly about the evil eye, negative influence or a curse. Others do not dare use these words but deeply feel that something has changed in their life.
They may tell me about one difficulty after another, a feeling of being blocked, a change they do not understand, or simply an unusual sense of unease.
I never automatically answer: « Yes, someone has done something to you. »
My approach starts differently. When I work with someone, certain signs and sensations can appear directly in my own body. Over years of practice, I have learnt to observe these feelings and to tell them apart within my work.
But not everything is a curse. A person may also be going through a period of fear, falling into a pattern of self-cursing, repeating certain self-sabotaging patterns, or experiencing a distress that calls for a completely different kind of support.
I do not see curses everywhere
My experience does not consist in seeing curses everywhere. It also consists in knowing how to recognise when my feelings are not pointing me in that direction.
I find this point essential, because a person who arrives already worried can easily become even more worried if they are told straight away that someone outside is acting against them.
My role is not to feed that fear.
I prefer to listen to the situation, work from what I feel, and stay cautious about the interpretation that can be given to these sensations.
Why do some people think someone has done something to them?
This question often comes up when several difficulties seem to pile up.
Everything seems to be blocked
Work, projects, money, love life or family life: some people feel that several areas are getting complicated at the same time.
You no longer recognise yourself
The person may feel they no longer have the same energy, the same motivation or the same way of reacting as before.
One event after another
When difficulties follow one another, it becomes natural to look for a link between them and to wonder why « everything is happening at once ».
A feeling that is hard to explain
Some people simply talk about a heaviness, a sense of unease or the feeling that something does not belong to them.
A build-up of problems is not, however, proof that someone outside is acting against you.
Certain signs appear directly in my own body
An important part of my practice relies on what I feel myself when I work with someone.
Certain sensations or signs can appear directly in my own body during the work.
Over the years, I have learnt to recognise these feelings, to notice their differences and to place them in the context of the person I am supporting.
In some cases, what I feel suggests more of an emotional burden or a sense of distress.
In other situations, the sensations can be different and correspond, in my experience and within my traditional practice, to what I associate with a particular energetic issue.
Important
These sensations are my feelings as a practitioner. They are neither a medical or psychological diagnosis, nor a scientific method that could prove an occult influence exists.
Evil eye, curse, self-cursing or self-sabotage: four situations not to confuse
These words are sometimes used to explain very different situations. In my approach, I find it important precisely not to lump everything together.
1. Evil eye
A traditional term used for what some cultures and practices interpret as a negative influence coming from someone else.
2. Curse
In some traditions, this word refers to a deliberate action supposedly directed against a person. Its existence cannot be established scientifically from symptoms or personal difficulties.
3. Self-cursing
Fear, and the conviction that someone is acting against you, can gradually lead you to interpret many events as signs confirming that idea.
4. Self-sabotage
Certain behaviours, reactions or repeated patterns can help keep difficulties going without the person consciously trying to make themselves fail.
When fear ends up taking over
Self-cursing is a particularly important notion in the way I approach these situations.
A person may start with a doubt: « What if someone wished me harm? »
From then on, they sometimes become much more attentive to everything that happens to them. A breakdown, an argument, a piece of bad news, a difficult night or a project that fails can gradually be read as further proof.
Fear then heightens vigilance, and that vigilance can in turn bring out even more « signs ».
Key point
Thinking you are the victim of a curse does not necessarily mean that someone has really done something to you. Fear itself can profoundly change the way a person interprets what they are going through.
This is precisely why I never automatically tell someone: « Someone has done something to you. »
What if some blockages also came from patterns that keep repeating?
Self-sabotage is different again. It does not mean that a person consciously wants to fail or to hurt themselves.
It can involve behaviours, reactions or decisions that keep repeating and end up keeping certain difficulties in place.
At work
Constantly putting off a decision, giving up on a project just as it starts to move forward, or never feeling quite ready.
In your love life
Regularly going back to situations that cause pain, or repeating relationship patterns that clearly do not seem to work.
In decisions
Hesitating until certain opportunities slip away, or being afraid of change even when the current situation no longer suits you.
In your self-image
Being convinced that nothing will work, or that you are not capable, can sometimes deeply influence the choices you make.
Before automatically assuming that someone outside is responsible, I therefore also consider the possibility that fear, self-cursing, self-sabotage or other factors play a part in the situation.
Not everything you feel necessarily belongs to you
Many of the people I support describe themselves as very sensitive to others and to atmospheres. They sometimes say they feel like real « sponges », absorbing the tensions, the emotions or what they call the energies of the people around them.
They can feel perfectly fine and then notice a sudden change after a meeting, a conversation or time spent in a particular place.
Not everything you feel necessarily belongs to you: we can also react to a person, a situation, an atmosphere or our surroundings.
This does not mean, however, that every change of mood, every bout of tiredness or every physical sensation comes from an outside energy. Stress, anxiety, lack of sleep, our environment, human relationships and many physical or psychological factors can also profoundly change how we feel.
Feeling something is not enough to know its cause
A sensation can be very strong and entirely real for the person experiencing it without, on its own, making it possible to determine where it comes from.
Feeling unwell is not proof of a curse. A string of problems is not proof of the evil eye. A bodily sensation is not proof that someone is acting against you.
So I prefer to work from what is felt without immediately turning it into a certainty.
Can you really feel physically unwell?
Yes, a person who is worried or going through a difficult time can experience very strong physical symptoms.
The people who contact me may mention tiredness, tension, disturbed sleep, a feeling of tightness in the chest, a knot in the stomach, headaches or a loss of energy. These sensations can be truly draining.
The reality of the discomfort does not, however, automatically tell us its cause.
Important
Persistent tiredness, pain, tightness in the chest, sleep problems, severe anxiety or any unusual, new or worrying symptom can have many causes and should be discussed with a health professional when necessary. My support and my feelings are not a medical or psychological diagnosis and never replace medical treatment or follow-up.
When should you be especially careful not to jump to conclusions?
There are situations in which caution matters even more.
When a person becomes convinced they are being watched, followed, manipulated or controlled, when they hear or see things that those around them do not perceive, or when the fear of an outside influence becomes all-consuming, this should not simply be put down to an energetic cause.
My position
In these situations, seeing a doctor or a mental health professional is important. Energy work must never delay or prevent this step.
You do not need to know what is wrong
You do not need to contact me having already reached a conclusion. You can simply tell me:
« For some time now, I have not felt like myself. Several things have changed and I cannot understand what is going on. »
That is enough to start a conversation. I take in your situation and work from what I feel within my practice.
If my feelings do not point me towards what my practice associates with a particular energetic issue, I will not tell you otherwise simply because you came to me with that worry.
And when a particular energetic issue is felt?
In some more specific cases, the sensations I feel may correspond, in my experience, to what my traditional practice associates with the evil eye, a negative influence or what is traditionally called a curse.
When this happens, I may consider work suited to the situation within my energy practice.
But I keep the same caution: my interpretation belongs to my practice and is not objective proof that an occult influence exists.
Understanding before frightening
My role is not to convince you that someone is acting against you. Nor is it to put a dramatic word on every difficulty.
My role is to listen to what you are going through, to work from my own feelings and to explain carefully what I perceive within my practice.
Sometimes, these feelings point me in a particular energetic direction. Sometimes they do not.
And that difference is exactly what matters.

This is the third time I have come to see Lionel, and once again I leave with a really positive feeling. The first two sessions had already gone very well for me, but this third session was particularly strong. Today, as I left, I felt very, very, very good. I felt light, calm and above all deeply happy. I really had the feeling that something had been released inside me. Having got rid of all that negative energy, I feel I can finally move forward again, with more confidence and serenity. Thank you so much, Lionel, for your listening, your kindness and your support. ✨ I really recommend this experience.

A real moment of sharing, emotional generosity and kindness. With him you immediately feel at ease and in confidence thanks to his immense kindness. I left much lighter than when I arrived. As you told me so well, Lionel, « that burden did not belong to me ». Words will never be enough to express all my gratitude…

I arrived at Lionel’s feeling loaded and heavy. The atmosphere of the room is very pleasant and relaxing. Lionel is warm and attentive. After an hour of healing, little by little I felt more « aired out » inside and calm. By the end, I had found a certain inner vitality again. Thank you for your faith and your kindness, Lionel.
