People often talk to me about the water glass magnetism test. They have seen it on the internet, tried it at home, and come to ask me what to make of it. I understand the curiosity, I have been there. For a long time, I did not believe at all in what I was feeling. So let me explain simply what this test can teach you, and what it cannot tell you.
The water glass magnetism test: how it is done
There are several versions of this test. Here is the one you come across most often.
- Fill two identical glasses with the same tap water.
- Set one aside. It will serve as your comparison.
- Sit somewhere quiet, breathe slowly, and hold your hands around the second glass, without touching it, for three to five minutes.
- Think of a simple, positive intention during that time.
- Then taste both waters. It is best to ask someone to taste them without knowing which one you have « charged ».
People who try this test sometimes describe a softer, rounder water, or on the contrary a slightly different taste. Others notice nothing at all.
The most interesting part is not always the taste of the water. It is what happens in your hands during those few minutes. Warmth, tingling, a feeling of cold, an impression of slight resistance around the glass: note what you feel, without trying to interpret it right away.
Magnetic healing is a complementary approach to well-being. It never replaces medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or follow-up. No particular result can be guaranteed.
What the water glass test can show, and what it does not prove
I prefer to be honest with you. This test is not scientific proof. No study shows that it can measure a person’s magnetism. The taste of water also depends on its temperature, the glass, what you ate beforehand, and what you expect to find.
That is why blind tasting matters. If the person tasting knows which glass you held, their opinion will inevitably be influenced.
For me, this test is above all an exercise. It teaches you to settle, to bring your attention to your hands, and to observe what you feel. That is already a lot. But a glass of water will never tell you on its own whether you have a gift.

How to tell if you have magnetism in your hands
Over the years, I have met many people who asked themselves this question. Certain signs come up often in what they tell me.
- Hands that warm up or tingle for no reason, especially when they come close to someone
- Loved ones who say they feel soothed when you are close to them, a hand near their shoulder
- A great sensitivity to the atmosphere of a place or to other people’s moods
- Repeated yawning when you are near a tired or tense person
- A parent or grandparent who « had something in their hands »
These signs prove nothing on their own. They simply invite you to observe. If you recognise yourself in this sensitivity to others, my article on feeling other people’s energy may help you see more clearly.
The exercise of hands moving closer
Rub your palms against each other for a few seconds. Move them apart by about twenty centimetres, then bring them closer very slowly, without letting them touch. Many people then feel warmth, a slight pressure, like a cushion between their hands. It is a simple exercise for learning to perceive what is happening in your palms.
How I understood that I had a gift
I did not discover my gift with a glass of water. For years, I felt emotions that were not mine. I yawned and burped constantly around others, without understanding why. I did not believe in it at all.
I started experimenting at home, almost to prove to myself that none of this existed. On my daughter, on my wife, on our Belgian Malinois. What I observed forced me to ask myself questions. Much later, my mother told me that her grandmother had this gift, that she yawned too, and that people felt better after seeing her. This gift was passed on to me by my great-grandmother. I have been practising for 27 years.
What I take from this path is that a gift is recognised over time. By what you feel, by what others tell you, and by the humility with which you receive it.

If you think you have magnetism: my advice
Feeling something in your hands does not make someone a magnetic healer. Here is what I advise people who ask me.
- Take your time. Observe what you feel over weeks, over months, without deciding anything too quickly.
- Do not set yourself up as a healer. Never advise anyone to stop a treatment or not to see a doctor.
- Protect your own energy. A very sensitive person can tire quickly around others.
- Do not try to relieve everyone. A message was given to me long ago: do not reach out to anyone except those who are sent to you. It took me a long time to listen.
If this sensitivity wears you out more than it helps you, I also cover it in the article on sensitivity to other people’s energies.
Frequently asked questions about the magnetism test
Does everyone have magnetism?
Many people feel something in their hands when doing these exercises. Having a gift for accompanying others is something else. It reveals itself with time and experience.
Is the magnetic healer’s gift hereditary?
In my case, it was passed on to me by my great-grandmother. I often meet people who have a parent or grandparent with this kind of sensitivity. It is not a rule, though.
Is the water glass test reliable?
No, not in the scientific sense. It is an exercise in attention and feeling. Do it blind if you want to limit the influence of your expectations.
What is a session with you like, and how much does it cost?
At my practice in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, a session lasts about 45 minutes, conversation included. Remotely from a photo, about 30 minutes. A session costs €100 and the pack of 3 sessions €270, at the same price at the practice or remotely. All the details are on the prices page, and the full walkthrough in the article on how a session unfolds.
