« Does it really work? » That is the question I am asked most often, on the phone and at my practice, in the 27 years I have been a burn healer (« coupeur de feu »). Is a burn healer effective? I understand the question. I did not believe in it myself when it all began for me. So rather than trying to convince you, I would prefer to tell you honestly what I know, what I do not know, and what you need to be careful about.
Burn healers: why so many people ask the question
When people look for a burn healer, it is rarely out of curiosity. It is often at a difficult moment.
- A burn at home that is still hot hours later.
- Shingles that keep burning despite the medical care.
- Radiotherapy that leaves the skin more sensitive week after week.
- Someone close to you saying « call my burn healer, it worked for me ».
Between enthusiastic testimonials and sceptical opinions, it is normal not to know what to think. You are allowed to have doubts.
Do burn healers work, true or false: what can honestly be said
What science says
Today there is no scientific study that demonstrates that burn healers are effective. I would rather tell you that clearly. Doctors and hospital departments know about the practice and, in some hospitals, staff have already passed on a burn healer’s number to people who asked for one. That shows the practice is known and tolerated, not that it is proven.
What people report
What I can tell you is what I have been hearing for 27 years. To judge whether a burn healer works for them, many people go by what they feel: they describe a sensation of heat that eases during or after the session. Others feel nothing in particular. Their feedback is public, in my Google reviews. These are individual experiences, not proof.
Do you have to believe in it for it to work?
No. I regularly see sceptical people who came because someone close to them insisted. I also see babies and animals, who have no idea what a burn healer is. You have nothing to believe and nothing to promise. You come, you notice what you feel, and you draw your own conclusions.
Magnetic healing is part of a complementary approach to well-being. It never replaces medical advice, a diagnosis, medical care or follow-up. No particular result can be guaranteed.
Burn healers: the real dangers to know about
The burn healer’s gesture itself is done without touching the damaged skin and without any product. That is not where the danger lies. It comes from the way this approach is used.
- Delaying care: a burn that is large, deep, on the face, the hands or the genitals, or on a baby, is a matter for the emergency services. Call 15 or 112 first. The burn healer comes afterwards, never instead.
- Stopping medical care: shingles, radiotherapy and eczema are looked after with your doctor. Never stop what your doctor has prescribed because you are seeing a burn healer.
- Coming across an unscrupulous practitioner: someone who promises healing, asks you to stop your medical care, charges excessive prices or pushes you to keep coming back endlessly.
For burns, the reference information is on the French national health insurance website, ameli.fr.
How to recognise a serious burn healer
A few simple guidelines, which I apply myself:
- They ask whether you have seen a doctor, and send you to one if needed.
- They promise no results.
- They never ask you to stop your medical care.
- Their prices are clearly displayed, before the session.
- They do not offer you products to buy, costly rituals or repeated sessions without good reason.
- Public, verifiable reviews of their practice exist.

How I work as a burn healer
My gift was passed down to me by my great-grandmother. I have practised it for 27 years, without any spectacular ritual. At my practice, we start with a conversation, then I connect with you and I draw out the heat (« couper le feu »), without touching the damaged skin and without any product. The session lasts about 45 minutes.
When the pain makes travelling difficult, I also work remotely, from a photo, most often on the same day. A distance session lasts about 30 minutes. You can read my articles on the burn healer, on shingles and on radiotherapy.
Frequently asked questions about whether burn healers work
Can a burn healer work remotely?
Yes, in fact that is how the tradition has often been practised, over the phone or from a photo. I work from a recent photo of the person, never of the burn.
Is it dangerous for a baby or a child?
The session takes place without touching the skin and with a parent present. For a burnt baby, the doctor or the emergency services always come first.
How long after the burn should you call?
After cooling the burn and, if needed, seeing a doctor. Many people contact me the same day, others several days later.
How much does a session cost?
€100, at my practice or remotely. The pack of 3 sessions is €270. All prices are on the Prices and booking page.
